Band...

Brief Band History:

Curerbell is singer / songwriter Kevin Jones from Llanelli. Kevin has recently produced a new EP titled 'This used to be a happy place' featuring four new songs - Social Melody, No More Lies, Breakdown and Go.

Various band members have been and gone, but Kevin remains and is determined to keep making great music! The original line up was Kevin and John Paul Zammit (who left the band to concentrate on his University studies). Their first venture into the studio was to record the first demo to be recorded by Curerbell featured two songs: 'Nobody Gave Me Christmas Cards' and 'Origami (Paper Cuts).'

Another great demo followed soon after and was titled 'You Bring The Balloons.' It featured four great songs: 'Nobody Knows Everybody', 'Straw Man', 'Gem', and 'Confetti.'

The EP was a limited edition, with only 300 copies made, and received rave reviews from those lucky enough to own a copy. South Wales Evening Post described it as being “on the cutting edge of contemporary song writing, superb".

A full review of the EP, by the Llanelli Star (Jan 2002) can be found in my reviews section.

In 2002, Curerbell were back in the studio. They recorded four tracks: ‘Waiting For The World’, ‘There’s A Fire’, ‘Origami (Paper Cuts)’ and ‘I Could Cry’.

Aled Richards from Catatonia, played drums for two of the songs. The first two tracks have a more confident and lively sound, while the other songs are characteristically heart-felt and emotional.
